Hey everybody,
Meredith here. I really hope you can all join me tomorrow for our discussion. I'm really excited because it's going to be the first of it's kind. We're going to talk exactly about the stuff you guys have posted on this blog - the strengths and the weaknesses, the steps forward and the steps back, the big steps and the little steps. Why? Because it's the weight - loss journey that can make us think we are a failure, and a program like this that can make us think we have to do it 'right'.
I'm here to bust that myth. It is very defeating. We just need to find out what works for us and make it work. You guys have been in this program a few weeks now so I think this will be a fruitful, authentic discussion.
I'm not here to talk about how you are going to get that perfect weight, or beat you up for where you aren't. I'm here to meet you where you are...because it is truly knowing our weaknesses and our strengths that make us stronger.
So tomorrow night, I want to discuss them. I've asked Laura to invite the other groups that have done this because they've walked this path too and they are human. They struggle. We all do.
So bring your stories of struggle. Bring your stories of strength. Bring you.
I'm really excited to have some Healthy Voice Authentic Conversation.
Oh, and when Cindy is running you around the grocery store - I want you to think about what I call your Unhealthy Voice trigger foods. What aisles are the ones you know make you crazy...get conscious of your Unhealthy Voice and bring it to the table. I love talking trigger foods...
See you guys tomorrow night!!
- Meredith
