For the past several weeks Candice has been sending me a running schedule to help me prepare to run this 5k. I'm getting really excited. As of yesterday I can run 2.66 miles in 30 minutes, and that's with a 5min warm up walk and 5min cool down. I did have to cut my run short due to timing yesterday, but I now know I am very capable of running that 3.1miles in 35minutes. My goal for this 5k is just to be able to complete it. With 23days left, I have plenty of time to work on my timing and actually compete with those in my age group. (Last year the top three girls in my age group averaged about 7.5minutes a mile. So I have a bit of work to do, but all in good timing.) I run at least three times a week, and often take walks on lunch or when I get home, and a year ago I would've laughed at anyone who said I'd be training for a 5k run or even walk for that matter! Yet here I am! Wish my luck, and anyone willing to is welcome to join me. Just let me know. It's April 1st at 6pm in downtown Goshen. (This is during "First Fridays" in Goshen, where all the main street stores, local musicians, artists and others come out to Main and have special activities and sales to bring back the local economy. It's a lot of fun, and it's nice to even just walk around and see what peole are offering) I will send you a link to register if you're interested. Also, feel free to come watch and cheer me on!

You can do it, think nothing less.
Awe, thank you so much! It'll be a challenge either way, but that's why I'm doing it. To challenge myself. =)
