Accomplished

Yesterday was cold, rainy, and I was running late getting to my 5k. Despite all that, I got there just in time to get to the starting line with everyone else. This was one of the first times I ran the entire distance outside, and it was so uncomfortable due to the weather. Yet, I was able to push through it, I made a friend on the way. Her name was Heather. It was her third 5k. She was really nice, and talked to me the whole way through. My mother, her boyfriend, and my husband were standing at the finish line waiting for me. I finished 177th out of 210 people. It took me 34:59.4 to finish, that's only about 2minutes slower than my average time inside on a treadmill. So over all I'm pretty happy with it. It puts my pace at about 11:17/mile. I can't believe how accomplished I feel. Now for turning 21.....

Contratulations on completing your very first 5K! I am so proud of you. I bet you feel a sense of accomplishment. I bet you wished for better weather, but that just makes it even more an accomplishment. You overcame and conquered!
